The hood body measures 36 inches wide by 18 1/2 inches deep and about 9 3/4 inches tall, with a chimney cover that extends above it to the ceiling, so measure your wall height and the space over your cooktop before coming in. It plugs into standard 120-volt household power and can be ducted vertically to the outside through a 6-inch round duct, or set up to recirculate into the kitchen with charcoal filters if you cannot run ductwork. The four-speed blower moves up to 350 CFM on the boost setting, and it has backlit electronic controls on the front, dishwasher-safe metal grease filters, dual halogen cooktop lights with a dim night-light mode, and works with GE's optional JXRC70 remote. It suits someone replacing a hood over a 36-inch cooking surface who wants an open chimney look rather than a microwave or under-cabinet unit.
