This is a Kohler touchless kitchen trash can in stainless steel, model K-23825, sold at retail as the 48L (13-gallon) motion sensor can. Waving a hand over the sensor at the top opens the lid, and it closes on a timer with a quiet-close hinge; there is also a stay-open button for longer jobs and a force-close button. It stands about 26-1/2 inches tall, 16-3/4 inches wide and 11-5/8 inches deep, and the internal hinge lets it sit flat against a wall or cabinet run. Inside is a removable plastic liner bin with a removable rim that holds any brand of 13-gallon bag out of sight, and the sensor runs off a built-in rechargeable battery topped up through a USB cable, so no outlet or wiring is needed where it stands. It suits a kitchen that wants a full-size bag capacity without touching the lid, and the fingerprint-resistant finish wipes down with a damp cloth.
